Messaging
Chat with the same agent from Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Signal, Email, Microsoft Teams, and other channels. Configuration is in the desktop app: Settings → Gateway.
Setup
- Open Settings → Gateway.
- Pick a platform and paste the token or sign-in the app asks for (bot token, workspace OAuth, etc.).
- Save. The gateway runs with the desktop backend — you do not start a separate terminal process.
Keep one gateway per credential. Two copies of the same bot token will fight each other.
What you get
Most platforms support text, images, and files. Voice notes need TTS configured (Settings → Voice, or Nous Tool Gateway). Threads, reactions, and typing indicators depend on the platform.
Phone vs desktop
The mobile app is a chat client against your server. Messaging platforms (Telegram, …) are extra inboxes into that same agent, configured on desktop.
Safety
Use platform allowlists in Gateway settings so random people cannot talk to your agent. Approvals for dangerous commands still apply — they show up in Desktop and, when the platform supports it, as buttons in the chat app.
