Skills

Skills are short playbooks the agent loads when your request matches. They live on this machine and show up in the Skills pane (sidebar or command palette).

Use them​

  • Ask in chat — the agent loads a matching skill when it needs one.
  • Type / in the composer — skill commands (for example /plan) appear next to built-in commands.
  • Install or disable skills from the Skills pane. Changes apply to new sessions so the current chat's cache stays valid.

Where they live​

Bundled and user skills sit under ~/.hermes/skills/. You can open that folder from the Skills pane. Do not treat this as a public catalog to publish — it is your licensed copy of the app.

Memory of skills​

The Memory Graph (/journey) can show which skills were learned or used. You can archive a skill from that view.
